Beloved,When we ask for directions, or if we follow the instructions on Mapquest, we have to pay attention to the details! One wrong left or one wrong right and we can become hopelessly lost! Just like road map directions, we need to follow God's lead in life. Otherwise, we certainly will be hopelessly lost as well!
"So I (Cornelius) sent for you immediately and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us." Then Peter began to speak: 'I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.'" (Acts 10:33-35). Just like Cornelius, we need to listen for God's voice and then act upon His lead. And just like Peter, we need to speak the truth as God reveals it to us. No more or no less!
We may not think that God even bothers with the details of our lives, but He does. When the Lord asks us to do something, we should just do it. We shouldn't argue or question or doubt. And when the Lord prompts us to speak His truth, we need not delay or try to soften His truth. God may not reveal all the reasons for why He wants us to do things, but we're not in charge of determining the why of things! We are just to be obedient to His lead, day in and day out. Just watch and see how obeying Him will lead us to blessing upon blessing, today and forever!
